Ditchling Fair - Evening Events

As late afternoon turns into evening, there is no let up for Ditchling Fair. There will be music, dance, fine food and drink, laughter, family fun and non stop happiness as we party into the late night.

Unreel Ceilidh Band

We are very excited to welcome back the Unreel Ceilidh Band to kick off our evening festivities.

Based in Sussex, the brilliant Unreel have a great reputation for creating
a barnstorming night to remember. The Band will invite you to ‘do-si-do’ or ‘strip the willow’ with your partner.

The dances are simple, bouncy – and quick to learn so that you can get on and enjoy yourself.

Ditchling Morris
Procession up Lodge Hill

You can get involved with the celebrations when the Ditchling Morris go for a pre-solstice dance up to the top of Lodge Hill to watch the sunset.

Fair After Party

As the day Fair comes to a close and the sun begins to set, we invite all residents to join us in the walled garden as the Fair After Party commences.

Food and beverages will be available throughout, ensuring you have the energy to keep dancing and having fun as you join in with the party led by the Hoohah Party Sound System and keep dancing into the night to classics new and old.

As we all come together… Let’s Party!!!

Ditchling Fair is run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers. Not only is it hugely rewarding helping with the lead up as the fair comes together, but also on the day itself it is simply wonderful to be able to get involved and ensure the fair’s success.
